JAXA - KAGUYA (SELENE) Last shots captured by the HDTV.

At 3:25 on June 11 2009, Kaguya safely (!) impacted with the Moon’s surface.

I watched that day, on Tanegashima Island, as the rocket burst into the sky and powered towards the distant moon, carrying it’s satellite cargo. And now that same satellite’s long, long journey
has come to an end. It’s a strange and sad feeling to think of it crashing into the surface of the moon, up there, all those miles away.
